DJ WHITEGOLD IS 2011 STYLUS DJ AWARDS’ “CENTRAL DJ OF THE YEAR”!

Toronto, ON (Canada): JUNE 2, 2011 – Last year, DJ Whitegold did his city (Kitchener, Ontario) proud by beating out stiff competition to walk away with the highly coveted Central DJ Of The Year award at the annual Stylus DJ Awards, held in Toronto. Now, in 2011, DJ Whitegold continues to roll with that same unwavering momentum, as he deservedly won the 2011 Central DJ Of The Year trophy again this year.

“Being the first dj to win this award two years in a row is something that I am very proud of,” states DJ Whitegold, adding: “Earning the respect of my peers and fans is something I will never take for granted.”
2011 was another banner year for DJ Whitegold as he has become a resident DJ and/or VJ at different events five times a week on average. His current weekly schedule finds him juggling the hats of DJ and VJ throughout the week at some of the hottest spots throughout Central Ontario.

It was also recently announced that DJ Whitegold was one of four of “Canada’s hottest DJs” that were selected to take control of Kitchener-based radio station 91.5 THE BEAT’s “#1 Rated Saturday Evening Mix Show” (CLUB 9-1-5).

Although his weekly events and radio shows keep him extremely busy, there’s plenty still to come in 2011, as DJ Whitegold is already looking forward to an extensive European tour in August that will bring him to shows throughout the UK, Belgium and Amsterdam. 2011 and beyond promises to be the most successful year yet for the first two-time Stylus Central DJ Of The Year.

2010 STYLUS AWARD WINNER DJ WHITEGOLD SELECTED TO TAKE OVER #1 RATED SATURDAY MIX SHOW “CLUB 9-1-5” ON KITCHENER RADIO STATION 91.5 THE BEAT!

Kitchener-Waterloo, ON (Canada) MAY 24, 2011 – 2011 is certainly shaping up to be a bumper year for Kitchener’s favourite turntable titan, DJ Whitegold. In addition to extensive international touring, residencies at some of Southern Ontario’s hottest nightspots, winning the Central DJ Of The Year Award in 2010 and currently being nominated in that same category for the second year running, the Kitchener native can now add yet another impressive accolade to his already hefty list of accomplishments for the new year. In case you you missed the news, Kitchener-based radio station 91.5 THE BEAT recently announced that four of “Canada’s hottest DJs” have been selected to take control of the station’s “#1 Rated Saturday Evening Mix Show”, (CLUB 9-1-5) and that one of them would be none other than Kitchener’s own DJ Whitegold!

It is a well known fact that CLUB 9-1-5 has been the #1 Rated Saturday evening program in the Tri-Cities for the last couple of years thanks to tireless work by the show’s founder and resident mix master, DJ Zoltan.

Sadly, Kitchener’s “Hit Music Radio Station”, 91.5 THE BEAT recently revealed that DJ Zoltan would be stepping down from his duties on that show as of May 21st, due to other pressing personal and professional responsibilities. However, 91.5 THE BEAT maintains that CLUB 9-1-5 will continue on in its current Saturday night time slot (from 9 to 11 PM).

91.5 THE BEAT listeners and Kitchener music fans in general will no doubt be thrilled to learn that starting on Saturday May 28th, 91.5 THE BEAT will unveil a “new” CLUB 9-1-5, featuring DJ Flash, DJ Matt Hodge, DJ Steve Hayward and (of course) DJ Whitegold!

All four DJs will be featured on rotation (a different DJ each Saturday) on the show, mixing anything from current hits, remixes, House/Electro, Hip Hop, R&b, Reggae, Old School and Mash-Ups.
